So we went from catsuits to coats in a month. All gold everything to all cold everything. Warm weather can't last forever so let's transition for winter. Ahh yes, no more fad diets because it's time to hide the last bit of our battle of the bulge under sexy sweaters, stretchy jeans and breathtaking boots. Leather is still popular and lucky for us, it's a great addition to cable knit sweaters and splashes of color. Complementary Bags , scarves and earrings tie any look combination together easily for a no-fuss cold weather glam look that doesn't break the bank. -SP

Leather! Is it the new silk?
Ok.. I may have taken it to far with the silk comparison but I'm sure you get my drift. Every season we say something is the new black per the fabric gods. It's about time they let black be itself and just fiddle with textures! This season, leather (or a matte pleather for those of us with "fashionably-late" spending money) is the accent of choice. Super cute ripped jeans and a leather top... Sexy urban chic . A flouncy, short jewel-toned skirt and leather crop top...diva! A blouse with a lace overlay and leather pants with gathered ankles...Vixen! Plain black tights and a t-shirt is clean-the-house attire. Same outfit with the addition of a leather strip on those tights and tie/cut that shirt and you're ready to WERK! Get some leather in ya lives.. Get Sexxay! -SP

CHEETAH/LEOPARD PRINT FALL 2013 FASHION TREND
If you wasnt sure when to wear cheetah/leopard print well its definitely in this fall 2013 from coats, shirts, jeans, shoes, purses, accessories, and jackets there is a way to dress up this fall sporting some type of cheetah print.
fall 2013 fashion
There are numerous amounts of new trends that are out this fall but pink seems to be one of them. Pink seems to be rocked in the hair, on the eyes and lips, and now its in time for its place in fashion.
Are we Gladiators or are we...
SCANDALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
SO now that the majority of the nation has been released from fuzzy handcuffs called Scandal.. let's talk OLIVIA!
Yes, Ms. Olivia Pope...the most beautiful gladiator to own 50 variations of the beige trenchcoat!
That "no-makeup" makeup look has been traveling the television show highways and byways for a minute and it has all culminated into the natural highlit and softly contoured face of Olivia.
The soft pink lip that's looking like a muted version of Just Peachy by Wet N Wild (personal favorite by the way) is just the right final touch to the clean, unarched brows, mascara-ed lashes and neutral lid that she sports so well. Her baking-soda-and-peroxide white smile doesn't hurt either.
Let's all side sweep our bangs and flat iron out our deep wave Brazilian hair in honor of the actress-formerly-known-as-Kerry-Washington also known to us as Fitz's Boo, Olivia Pope. -SP

I LOVE A SMOKY EYE!
For the longest time, smoky eyes were the one look that I refused to tackle. I'd go to the vanity all cute and courageous thinking I'm going to walk away looking sultry. With the best intentions, I'd pick up my black shadow and blending brush and get to work. Needless to say, I came away from the table looking far from sexy. I looked like I'd been in a barfight with a bunch of people rougher than me. Nothing much to do but go scrub my face fresh and go back to the old faithful "liner and lip" since I'd wasted 30 minutes on ridiculousness. After a billion questions to my MUA friends, some YouTube videos and some major trial and error failures, I think I've got it. I've learned to pat up, I've learned what transition shadow is (just what it sounds like..a skintone-ish color to blend between your black and your highlight color) and i learned not to go nuts with the black. I might do a step by step in a future blog.. what do you think? -SP
